Layers

I was able to find this image on Pinterest and I absolutely love it.  This design is made out of different color paper.  This is a great example of layers.  If you look really closely you can see all of the details and all of the pieces of paper that are used.  This is really cool because it would be something that anyone could make, but it will just take  a good amount of time.  This is also very colorful because of all the colors of paper that are used in it.  The designs are also very thought out because they are all different and the one on the bottom I like the most because it reminds me of a flower that is just starting to bloom.  I wonder how many pieces of paper that they have to use to make these because there is so many layers that are in these designs.  There are many more designs like these on Pinterest.  I am going to find out how to do make one of these and let you know how it goes.

Fun Fonts

I have found this image on Pinterest.  This image was on my mood board and I really like how it is just fun.  The words "Tsunami" and "Horizon" are my favorite words because of what they did to a couple of letters to really show what the word actually means.  As a viewer of these words it is fun to see that the letters are still there, there is just something done to a couple of letters.  As a reader you can still read what the word is.  There are so many other images just like this one on Pinterst, but this one is my favorite because these words are really random and what the fun effects do in the word are really cute and good ideas.  If you really think about this type of typography people could really make any word like this.  It would be really cool for words to actually look like this like on papers and such. I really enjoy looking at this and I am starting to look at a lot of this type of images.

Spark of Color

This image really caught my eye on Pinterest because of the refection.  I did not see in the beginning that it was water, but then I thought about it with the umbrella.  This image is a really nice position with the camera.  I am really enjoying the refection, but I also really enjoy the umbrella's spark of color in the image.  It looks like it is more of a black and white image with some little color in the background, but the umbrella is the main part of the color.  It also gives the image good balance because of the reflection.  If you look though the top umbrella is a little bit more brighter than the bottom umbrella, but the red still sticks out really well.  There is also a little piece of red in the background which helps with the red color in the umbrella and the green and yellow helps add a little bit more to the image.  This image does a really good job with balance and color.

Texture

This is a perfect definition of texture.  The lipstick is a very smooth, but the water does a really good job with adding the texture or the "roughness" to the lipstick.  Another thing is that this is an incredible picture because first off how did they get the water to stay in place?  I like how there are some little water drops and then there are some bigger ones.  It is really nice that you are able to see the texture on the sides of the lipstick.  When I stare at the lipstick it starts to look rough and not that there is not water drops.  I just keep thinking about how texture can be all different sizes.  This makes me think of rain and how the droplets sit on leaves, except this on is obviously.  This image was found on Pinterest and there is a lot more images like this on Pinterest and it is really incredible.  

Farming Texture

This picture is my own work.  I went to a friends house and I was able to take this picture after a couple of hours shooting around their farm.  The farm is located in Chilton WI and we were actually on a four wheeler and their dog decided to come with us.  I thought that this image was the best one that I took for Digital Photography, but I had to do some adjustments to the image.  In this image there is a lot of texture.  There is texture from the field with the dirt and the snow.  There is texture with the building in the background because some are big and some are wide, while some are little and skinny.  They also have different textures on the building with the barn having wood and how there is metal.  There is a bunch of texture with the trees and even with the snow.  The snow adds the most texture on the image because it was actually snowing really hard that day and I wanted to see what the texture of the snow would do to the image.  It really turned out nice and it worked out to my advantage.

Handwritten Typography!

I found this image on http://welovetypography.com/ and I really enjoy this website because it has a lot of different types of typography.  This image I really enjoyed because of the font.  The font to me looks like handwritten.  Those types of fonts I really enjoy because I think that it adds character and you can really impact a image if you use a font that looks hand written.  They have all different kinds of fonts that people can use for anything and everything.  This font works really well with the image because it is hand written and it is what the person is thinking of.  The font works as well with the size of the font and everything.  The image I like a lot because the image is color while the text and the man are black and white.  That looks really good in the image and it makes it look like a silhouette.  I like when images look like silhouettes because they can be a lot of fun! I really like all different types of typography, but handwritten and this type of typography is what I truly like!

Typography!

With this type of typography I really enjoy this image and type because I really enjoy the type faces that look like it was hand written.  I also enjoy this image because some of the type is the hand written cursive but there is also another font that correlates to the cursive font because first off it is hand written.  There are fonts that can use two different fonts and still look good.  These two work really well with that because they are so different, but they are not bad together.  Some fonts would not work well together, but if you find the right two then it will work well and you can have variations in anything that you work on.  I also like how the thickness of the hand written cursive because it changes and it makes it more unique.  I also like this image because of the angle that it is taken at.  I think if it was taken at a different angle it would have been a totally different feeling than the one that it is right now.  I got this image from Pinterest and it has incredible images.

Staircases

I was able to look on Pinterest for different designs that are on there and I came across a lot of home designs that people can do and these different staircases really popped out to me.  This is just one of many of the different types of staircases that this websites had.  The website is: http://www.stylisheve.com/22-very-unique-staircases-that-will-inspire-you/#.VB7zPnrD_qB.  Some of these staircases really have a lot of color like this one and many different types of texture.  I like this one the most because of the beautiful colors that are on it and how from the top image I actually thought it was a slide.  The lines go in the perfect direction of the stairs and I also believe that the colors really pop out since the inside of the building is white and with windows everywhere.  The colors are not super crazy, they are clam and fun.  The texture of the staircase is also unique because of how it is not a smooth curve, there is like a little bump in the middle of it and that adds a lot of character to it.  This staircase is really cool and fun and some of the other ones are also so cool where maybe one day I would be able to add one of these is a house that I own!!

Stamps!!

One of the main reasons that I chose this image and website is because of the stamps. http://www.thisismirador.com/tractorbeam/ this is the website if you would like to see more.  I really enjoy stamps because I stamp my own cards, but one of the big things that I love about stamps is that they have so many different type of stamps types.  Stamps have so many different types of fonts on the stamps and it is really nice if you would want a fancy font or just a block font.  Stamps also have different textures and it is really nice because all you have to do is just put ink on them and stamp them onto whatever you would like to put them on.  Stamps are a really good way to get different types of fonts.  I love stamping and seeing all of the different type faces on them!  If you do not look at stamps or use them I would tell you too because you can also get font ideas for any project you are working on.

Detailed Texture

This is a poster by Kevin Cantrell.  This is the website that I found these amazing images: http://www.mr-cup.com/blog.html.  At first when I was looking at it I thought that it was a piece of wood or a canvas, but then I found out that it was a poster and I was so surprised.  Looking at all of the images I could not believe all of the details that they had on the poster.  There is a lot of texture from the images from far away, but then when you have a close up, it is so much more little details that I cannot imagine how long it took them to do it.  The details make everything look so much better and it looks like it is even shading going on in it.  It is really inspiring to see this because some people think that simple is key, but with this design I believe that it is the texture that makes this whole piece. It is also something that it does not seem like too much texture because when you look at it from far away you cannot really see all of the details until you look up close.  This is really an amazing piece and I wish I could do something like this in the future.

Color Everywhere!

I am going to be talking about color today.  I looked on a website and it is called "Plenty of Colour." http://plentyofcolour.com/.  I thought that it was going to be really interesting, and it was do not get me wrong.  I was just a little confused on why there was no text to it at all.  After I was looking at all of the images I realized that these images do not need any text to talk about it because the main focus is color.  This first image really stuck out to me because of the two colors that are in this image.  The blue is a very cool color and it looks like water to me.  The orange image has very nice texture and then it also is a very beautiful orange that is a warm color.  The orange object to me reminds me of an ocean creature.  I do not only like this image because it looks like an object from the ocean, but the colors really compliment each other because of the warm and cool colors.   I really like how this image is only two colors, but your imagination can go wild with it.  The second picture I thought was really cool because of all of the colors and how it is on a building.  This shows that color can be anywhere that you would want it to be.  Who would have thought, that a building can be so colorful.  I know that a lot of buildings like to have colorful insides, but this building takes it to the next level with having all different colors on the outside of it and with the layers of the building it makes it look that much better than if it was just one layer.  I would really recommend this website for people who want to see what color can do for a picture or an object.

Feather Chairs

This website that I found these chairs is http://theinspirationgrid.com/a-chair-inspired-by-feathers-quetzal-by-marc-venot/.  This chair really caught my eye because it says that it was inspired by feathers.  The texture is what I am going to be talking about and when I look at this I do see where they get the feather look from, but I also can see a flower because it reminds me of the pedals of the flowers.  I like how it is evenly spread out and as a person you can tell that it is a chair.  When someone looks at the chair their first thought has to be "is it comfortable?"  I can see how it would be comfortable, but I could also see how it could be maybe not so much.  I really like the texture of the chair because it is unique and I like how they did not just do a couple of the feathers but they did a lot of it which makes it that much better.  I do not think that it would have the same effect if there was less feathers.  The bird also helps with the image because the bird has a lot of texture as well.  I really like this image because of the color and then the warm bird color.  I would really like to invest in one of these chairs because of the texture because I think that it would be really comfortable!

Website Design

I am going to not talk about this image in particular, but I will be talking about the website that this image is on.  I looked at the website Friends of Type.  http://friendsoftype.com/ this is the website URL if you would like to look at it.  I am going to be talking about how the website is set up and how it really caught my eye.  First off the name of the website is really interesting because whenever I hear anything about friends I go straight to it.  I like how it is all about different types of fonts, but they do a really good job with where they put the information and where the images go.  The colors are also good. There are cool colors in the beginning, but then there are some warm colors to pop.  With this website, I literally would just keep scrolling because I love the layout of the website and it is really simple, but cute.  I am a person where if I can make it as simple as possible, but have everything in it then I am a happy person.  Simple is something to strive for.  That is what I am trying to do and this website does exactly that!  I will definitely be coming back to this website for some ideas if I ever have to make a website.

Happy Hour

These bottles were the reason that this article caught my eye.  It is a business that designs the cover of the bottles of alcoholic beverages.  These three bottles really caught my eye first off because I had no idea what type these bottles would be for.  As I kept looking at the article I looked at some of the other covers on bottles and they were done very well.  They were neatly done and some had a lot of information, but it still looked really clean and I could tell what they were.  These three however still have me guessing, but I do really like how these look.  These honestly look like a kid show characters, but what makes me laugh is I think that so why would they be on an alcoholic bottle.  As I looked at the article these characters are what some people feel before they jump into a leaf pile in fall. These bottles are for ciders.  I did not guess that these characters were to make a customer feel like jumping into a pile of fall leaves, but now that I know that I do feel like when I look at it that I would love to jump.  The artist did a really good job with this design and I would love to see more what they did.  I found this on http://eyeondesign.aiga.org/happy-hour-autumn-cider-packaging/ if you are interested in these bottle designs.

My Style

When I was looking for my Mood Board assignment I was looking for a specific typography.  I am not 100% sure what the font is called, but I really like how there is different thickness in this and how it is cursive and also print.  I really like fonts that look like handwriting.  I am someone who really likes hand made stuff and with this specific image it looks like someone was using a paint brush which is to me really amazing.  When the artist was taking this picture I like how they added flowers to the image.  It makes it seem more organic.  I was able to find this image on Pinterest and if you would like to find it just type in the search box "typography."  There are many other images with this type of font, so if you enjoy this, just wait until you get on that website.  Enjoy pinning.
